| 83 The Film (2020) is one of the most awaited upcoming Hindi films. Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan desired to make a biopic on an Indian cricketer. Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play the role of former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in the film. The movie is produced by Madhu Mantena, Vishnu Induri, Kabir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Reliance Entertainment. The film will focus on first time India's 1983 Cricket World Cup win under Dev's captainship. Ranveer Singh essays the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. This is the first film as a couple after their marriage. |
