Who Is Aishwarya Rai?
Aishwarya Rai is an Indian model, actress, and producer who predominantly work in Hindi language films. The actress also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, English language films. Aishwarya Rai is also known by her married name Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She is considered one of the most beautiful and successful actresses in the Bollywood film industry. Aishwarya has some nicknames: Ash, Gullu.
Aish has appeared in more than 40 films in several languages, maximum in Hindi. She made her acting debut with a Tamil political-drama film ‘Iruvar’ where she played a dual role in 1997. In the same year, she made her Bollywood debut in the romantic comedy ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’ opposite actor Bobby Deol.
Early Life
Rai was born on 1 November 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India to an Army biologist father Krishnaraj Rai and housewife mother Brinda Rai. Krishnaraj died on 18 March 2017. She has one elder brother, Aditya Rai, who is an engineer in the merchant navy. Rai’s movie ‘Dil Ka Rishta (2003)’ was co-produced by her brother and co-written by her mother.
Rai completed her schooling from the Arya Vidya Mandir High School. Bollywood celebrities such as Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Karan Tacker, Kunal Deshmukh, Prateik Babbar, Rahul Bose, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonam Kapoor, Divyank Turakhia also studied in that school. After that, Rai attended the Jai Hind College for a year, and then joined DG Ruparel College in Matunga. She was a brilliant student, got 90 percent in the HSC exams.
Debut & Succes Story
While in college, Rai did a few modeling jobs as a part-timer. That time, In 1993, Rai gained huge public recognition and popularity for her appearance in a Pepsi commercial co-starring Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhry with a single line of dialogue “Hi, I’m Sanjana”. Then she entered the Miss India pageant and placed second. She was then crowned Miss World 1994, after that, she began receiving offers to act in films. The film co-starred Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ emerged as a major commercial success and earned Rai a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Personal Life
According to top online magazines, in 1999, Rai began dating Bollywood actor Salman Khan. After their breakup in March 2002, Rai accused him of harassing her. She claimed that Khan had not been able to come to terms with their breakup and was hounding her; her parents lodged a complaint against him. Rai stated, due to Salman’s abusive behavior she had to broke up with him. After broke up with Salman, She started dating another Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi. And finally, Rai and Abhishek Bachchan fell in love whilst filming ‘Dhoom 2 (2006)’ and the couple married on 20 April 2007. On 16 November 2011, the couple become the proud parents of a baby girl, Aaradhya.
