Vicky Kaushal

Vicky Kaushal is an Indian actor who predominantly known for his works in Hindi films. Born to the action director Sham Kaushal, completed an engineering degree from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India.

Kaushal started his filmy career by assisting director Anurag Kashyap in the crime drama ‘Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)’. After that, he plays minor roles in ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012)’ and ‘Bombay Velvet (2015)’. His first leading role was in the romance drama ‘Masaan (2015)’, which earned him the IIFA, Screen Awards, Asian Film Awards and Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut.

Kaushal rose to prominence in 2018 after playing supporting roles in two highest-grossing films in 2018, ‘Raazi (2018)’ and ‘Sanju (2018)’. In 2019, his portrayal as a military officer in the action film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019)’ lead the film to the first and one of the highest grosser films of the year 2019.
