Dhadak
Dhadak is an upcoming Bollywood film. This romantic, drama film is the remake of Marathi Blockbuster film, Sairat which was released on 29 April 2016.
Shahid Kapoor‘s brother Ishan Khattar and Shridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor will be seen playing the lead roles. This is the debut film for two of them.
Karan Johar’s Dharma Production and Zee Studios is the producer of the film(Dhadak). Karan Johar acquired the remake rights to make the movie in Hindi(Bollywood). Karan posted several posters of the movie on this twitter and Instagram account. Dhadak is scheduled to be released on 6 July 2018.
Remake Of Sairat
Sairat collected ₹1.22 billion(₹122 Crore) from ₹40 million(₹4 Crore) budget and that was huge. Sairat was the first Marathi film which was crossed ₹100 crore box office collection in worldwide. This record-breaking Marathi film was directed by Nagraj Manjule and produced by Nagraj Manjule, Nitin Keni, and Nikhil Sane under the banner of Zee Studios, Essel Vision Productions, and Aatpat Production.
Karan Johar acquired the remake rights to Hindi(Bollywood). This movie remade is coming in Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, Malayalam and Tamil industries too.
The Bengali and Punjabi version is under production this time. Bengali(India — Bangladesh joint production) version titled Noor Jahaan and Punjabi version titled as Channa Mareya. Bengali version will be released in 2017.
Directors & Producers
Shashank Khaitan will direct the film Dhadak(2018). He is best known for his written and directed movies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania(2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania(2017).
Karan Johar (on behalf of his production house Dharma Productions) and Zee Studios are the producers of the film.
