| Kesari (2019) is an Indian war drama film based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghan in 1897. It was directed by Anurag Singh who made his directional debut in Bollywood with Sharman Joshi, Jimmy Sheirgill, Rahul Khanna, Tanushree Dutta starrer 2007's thriller film Raqeeb. Later he has done several Punjabi films till 2017. Finally, he came back to Bollywood with this film. Principal photography of Kesari began in January 2018 and the film is scheduled for release in 2019. |
