Kiara made her acting debut as an actress with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar produced and Kabir Sadanand directed social drama film ‘Fugly’ in 2014. That film didn’t do well at the box office. But she gets huge positive reviews for her acting. She recognized after her second film ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)’, co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Patani released. Kiara Advani was born as Alia Advani on 31 July 1992, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her Jagdeep Advani is a businessman and mother, Genevieve Jaffrey is a teacher of Punjabi, Scottish, Irish, Portuguese, and Spanish ancestry. She is the elder of two children in the family and her younger brother name is Mishaal Advani.

She is the great-granddaughter of Late Ashok Kumar and great-grandniece of Late Anoop Kumar and Late Kishore Kumar. Ashok’s daughter and actress Bharti Jaffrey is her grandmother. She is also a grandniece of Late Saeed Jaffrey (Saeed’s brother married Ashok Kumar’s daughter). Salman Khan’s first rumored girlfriend Shaheen Jaffrey is her aunty and actress Juhi Chawla is her parent’s good friend. And Shaheen is the mother of another young actress Sayesha Saigal, who was first seen in Ajay Devgn directed film ‘Shivaay (2016)’.

Although her name is ‘Alia’, she made her Bollywood debut with ‘Kiara’. Advani changed her first name to Kiara to avoid getting clashed with the already existing actress Alia Bhatt. However, her Instagram name is Kiara Alia Advani.

She completed her schooling from Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai with 92% marks. Then she admitted to Jai Hind College for Mass Communication, Mumbai and earned Mass Communication degree. After that, short courses of acting under Anupam Kher and Roshan Taneja’s acting school.

Due to her belonging to celebrity family, she first appeared in a soap commercial for ‘Wipro Baby Soft’ when she was around 1-2 years old. From childhood, she wanted to be an actress. Her father was not happy with her decision about acting but later after watching ‘3 Idiots (2009)’ film, he decided that he would let his kids do whatever they were passionate about.
