Ranveer Singh is a popular and young Indian actor, a singer who is primarily work in the Bollywood industry. He was born on 6 July 1985 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. By birth, his name is Ranveer Singh Bhavnani but he only uses Ranveer Singh.  The actor also nicknamed Bitto and Rambo.

Earlier Life

His parents Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Singh Bhavnani belong to and Sindhi family. His grandparents moved to Mumbai from Karachi, Sind during the partition of India.

Ranveer is a nephew of Bollywood star Anil Kapoor and cousin of actress Sonam Kapoor, actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, and producer Rhea Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor’s maternal grandmother and Ranveer’s paternal grandfather were siblings. Singh has an elder sister named Ritika Bhavnani.

From childhood, Ranveer always wants to be an actor, participated in several school plays and debates. After finishing his college from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, he went to the United States to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.

Debut & Succes Story

After receiving Bachelor of Arts degree, he back to Mumbai in 2007. Singh worked as a copywriter in advertising organizations like O&M and J. Walter Thompson for a few years. Then for some time, he worked as an assistant director and decided to start his acting career in Bollywood. He began giving auditions and sending his portfolio to directors and producers.

After giving audition in Yash Raj Films production for the male lead role of Band Baaja Baaraat(2010), he got an informed that “you got the role”. the vice president of the company, Aditya Chopra personally saw his audition tape and like Ranveer’s acting so much.

Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) was a huge hit and it collects ₹46 crore in box office from the budget of ₹10 crore. He won total 12 awards including the Filmfare best male debut for the role of Bitto Sharma in the film.

After the success of Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), producer Aditya Chopra and director Manish Sharma cast him on their another film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011) again with Anushka Sharma (Co-star). That was again a huge hit, it collects ₹82 crore from the budget of only ₹20 crore.

The only relation with Deepika Padukone was revealed. Padmavat actor and Deepika both publicly spoke about their relationship. Deepika Padukone (37) and Ranveer Singh (37) tied the knot on 14 November 2018. The star couple got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy’s Lake Como.
