Who Is Sonakshi Sinha?
Sonakshi Sinha is a well-known actress and singer who is primarily working in the Bollywood film industry. She is one of the highest paid actresses in the Bollywood industry. The actress also nicknamed Sona and Snickers (John Abraham gave her the name).
Sona started her Bollywood career as a costume designer in ‘Mera Dil Leke Dekho (2006)’ film. After that, she made her acting debut in 2010’s action-thriller film “Dabangg (2010)” with co-star Bollywood Sultan Salman Khan. Now she becomes one of the successful actresses in the Bollywood industry.
Early life
Sinha was born on 2 June 1987, in Patna, India. She is the only and youngest daughter of veteran Bollywood film actor turned politician, Shatrughan Sinha, and mother former Bollywood actress and model Poonam Sinha. The actress has twins elder brothers: Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha. Both also work in Bollywood film industry.
The actress completed her high school study from Arya Vidya Mandir school in Juhu. Later, she admitted Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University and completing graduation from fashion designing.
Debut & Success
Sona started her Bollywood career as a costume designer for the film “Mera Dil Leke Dekho (2005)”. After that, she started her career as a model by walking on the ramp in the Lakme Fashion week in 2008.
In 2010, she made her acting debut in the action-thriller film “Dabangg (2010)” opposite co-star Bollywood Sultan Salman Khan. This film was the second highest grossing film of that year and it was the first breakthrough of her career. She got Filmfare Awards-Best Female Debut and so many (more than 12) different awards for that film. After the success of Dabangg (2010), Sinha made herself as one of the successful actresses in the Bollywood industry.
In 2012, she appeared in 4 feature films, Joker, Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardar and Dabangg 2. Expect Joker, other 3 films did massive business at box office and collected more than 100 crores. 2012 is the golden year of Sonakshi’s career. After that, Sonakshi Sinha appeared in so many movies as a leading lady, maximum movies were successful at the box office. Now she is counted as one of the successful actresses in the Bollywood industry.
In 2015, she made her singing debut by sand a small part in the song ‘Let’s Celebrate‘ in her film ‘Tevar (2015)’. She then made her official singing debut with the single ‘Aaj Mood Isqholic hai‘, released on 23 December 2015 under T-Series banner. She also appeared in several TV shows as a judge.
