Early Life
Sallu was born on December 27, 1965, Indore, India. He was born to screenwriter, Salim Khan, and his first wife Sushila Charak. Film actress Helen is Salman’s stepmother. Salman is the elder brother of actor, director Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. Salman also has two younger sisters: Arpita Khan and Alvira Khan Agnihotri. Alvira married to actor, producer Atul Agnihotri and Arpita married to debutante actor Aayush Sharma.
Salman started his schooling at The Scindia School, Gwalior along with his younger brother Arbaaz. After some years, He took admission at St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai and completed his school study. Then, he attended St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai to complete his college study but dropped out.
Debut and Success
Sallu started his career with a supporting role in ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’ in 1988. He has become famous after he played a romantic lead actor role in ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. This film was a huge hit and collects ₹28 crore income from ₹2 crore budget.
After ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, He didn’t have any film for six months. In the ’90s, Salman Khan establishes himself in Bollywood with several highest-grossing family, romantic and comedy films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Karan Arjun (1995), Biwi No.1 (1999), Hum Saath-Saath Hain(1999) and some more.

| Blackbuck Poaching Case (1999) | The case involves the alleged killing of a deer when Salman Khan and his co-stars - Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu - were shooting for "Hum Saath Saath Hain" in the forests near Jodhpur in 1998.
