His father Jackie Shroff is a famous actor, producer and model and his mother, Ayesha Shroff also a film actress, producer, and model. Tiger has a sister ‘Krishna Shroff’, who is 3 years younger than him. He was studied in Besant Montessori School and American School of Bombay. He dropout his college.
Debut & Succes Story
Jai made his debut with a leading role in action/comedy film Heropanti which was released on 23 May 2014. This movie earns ₹72.6 crore from the ₹25 crore budget which was a remake of the Telugu superhit film Parugu(2008).
Heropanti was directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Shroff was earned a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut nomination for his amazing acting on that film. Tiger wons total 5 awards for that film including IIFA Star Debut of the Year – Male.
Director Sabbir Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala next cast him on their next project ‘Baaghi (2014)’, which was a huge hit. It earned ₹127 crore from the budget of ₹35 crore.
His third film was “A Flying Jatt (2016)” which was not able to do well in box office. It was an average hit with ₹53.63 crore collection from ₹55 crore. He has done 4 films till now Heropanti, Baaghi, A Flying Jatt, and Munna Michael and only 1 flopped. Munna Michael collects only ₹32.89 crore(worldwide) from ₹45 crore budget.
